Best story this year at Powers was just after we put up the beam.  Eddie was checking it out and we all heard WWV chirping the time.  Billy said well we can hear Fort Collins Colorado.  Thing a good thing.  Mickey said that can't be Colorado.  He said that antenna will not pick up Colorado.  About that time Eddie heard a QSO in Arizona and Billy said try them, and Mickey was still in doubt about a 100 Watt radio talking to Arizona.  Next thing you know Mickey is standing there with his chin on the ground.  I wish I had a camera.  It was a Kodak moment.  Eddie got a good reading and we shutdown the shack for the night.
