2040 Hours, Sunday. Send a notice to the BGMRC reflector.
2055 Hours, (Five minute Net warning): "Attention all stations, the weekly BGMRC Net will begin in 5 minutes. This is (Callsign)."
2100 Hours – "Is the repeater in use? This is (Callsign)." (Pause for 5-10 seconds for a reply)
"QST, QST, QST to all radio amateurs. This is (Callsign, Name), Net Control for the regular weekly net of the Bill Gremillion Memorial Radio Club. This net meets every Sunday evening at 2100 hours local time on the BGMRC's 145.13 K4SEX repeater. If the net is unable to continue on the 145.13 repeater, we will reconvene on the backup 146.79 repeater.
"This net is open to all radio amateurs, and is available for discussions of club-related or general amateur radio interest, as well as social interaction among radio amateurs in and around Coweta County. All stations on frequency not wishing to participate are requested to keep the frequency clear for net operations. This is a directed net, and all transmissions should be made through the net control.
"This is (Callsign), Net Control. We will now take check-ins. Please give your callsign phonetically, then your name, and whether you have any traffic for the net. If you are checking in from outside of Coweta County please give your location.
(Dividing the net into callsign groups is optional; use A-J, K-R and S-Z if you divide. Always read back names and callsigns to ensure accuracy).
"Any other stations that have not checked in, please call now."
(Give your callsign again, and make any announcements that you have for the net. Ask for questions/comments after each announcement).
(Recognize other stations with announcements, etc. for the net.)
"Does anyone else have any announcements to be brought before the net?"
"Do we have any late check-ins?"
"This is (Callsign) closing this session of the weekly BGMRC net at 21xx hours local time, and returning the repeater to normal amateur use. Thank you all for taking part. We had _____ participants."
