Kevin AK4MC spoke about some updates he's made to the cowetaares.org website:
The information about the weekly nets, which had referred to the WX4ACS repeater, now refers correctly to the BGMRC repeater, with (added immediately after the net) 146.79 as backup.
A considerable amount of information previously stored on the site that is available in more up-to-date form elsewhere, has been removed and the site now links to those offsite resources at ARRL.org and FEMA.gov.
The MOU with Coweta EMA and the most recent Coweta ARES SOP are still on the site and are still linked from the main page. Technical reference documents for a couple of antennas and describing the Anderson power pole connectors are still on the site as well by way of the "General Reference Library" link.
Links to Coweta EMA and Georgia ARES websites have been added to the main page.
I've established a page at Blogspot.com (CowetaARES.blogspot.com) where Coweta ARES announcements, such as the weekly net recaps, will be posted once they're ready. If you go to CowetaARES.org and click on "Announcements, Etc." you'll be taken to that page. This way if someone has missed a net and perhaps not received an email through the Coweta ARES reflector, they should still be able to find it.
I expect to have information regarding SATERN on the site fairly soon.

The Coweta ARES/RACES net takes place every Sunday night at 2100 hours local time, on the K4SEX repeater at 145.13 MHz, or alternatively the repeater at 146.79 MHz, both courtesy of the Bill Gremillion Memorial Radio Club.
Eddie K4UN announced that Field Day went well. There were about 30 people who signed the attendance sheet, and two Boy Scouts visited with their parents. The Scouts were aided in making a couple radio contacts during their visit. There will also be a Tech class offered primarily for the Scouts the 3rd or 4th weekend in August. Chris KL0UD thanked W8PY Ellis, N4OME Darryl, K4UN Eddie and K4WPMBill for their help with her and AK4MC Kevin's mobile rigs at Field Day.
Addendum by AK4MC: Chris KL0UD also mentioned that the local VE team had held its testing session that afternoon as planned; there were three candidates. Two passed for Technician, while the third got his paper upgrade to General and plans to pass for Extra as soon as possible.
Lynn Bianco KN4YZ announced that the 145.21 repeater has been temporarily moved to Piedmont Fayette Hospital, which may adversely affect SKYWARN operations. He asked that people relay spotter reports they hear that aren't reaching WX4PTC.
